DANCING WITH THE COOMA STARS 2012 RAISES $180,000
\nFOR CANCER SERVICES ON THE MONARO
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

11 “Stars” and their partners performed over 3 nights to raise this incredible amount of money.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They had been fundraising and practicing for 12 weeks in the lead up to big event. A truly remarkable feat and one that is greatly appreciated not only by the MCCR, but by all cancer sufferers in our area.<\/p>\n

All money raised will go to support cancer services on the Monaro and to research.<\/p>\n

We saw some spectacular dancing, from Christos baring his chest to Liz’s love for her motorcycle.<\/p>\n

Our local medico, Dr David Learoyd promised to shave off his beard, which he has worn for 30 years, if $10,000 was pledged. Over the 3 nights he raised $11,000 and off came the beard on stage.
