  • Instigate, equip and furnish Oncology Service within the Cooma Hospital<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Research funds to Prof. Tattersall, Dept. Cancer Medicine Sydney University<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Research funds to the Medical Oncology Unit at Canberra Hospital<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Research funds to the Children’s Cancer Institute<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Equipment and furniture to Cooma Hospital, Bombala Hospital and Delegate Hospital<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Donation to Gawler Foundation<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cooma Women’s Health and Support of our local cancer care nurses<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Prostate Care Info Night – Bombala<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support of ‘Look Good Feel Better’ workshops<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Funds for patient transport – SRS Home Living Support<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Beds for palliative care nursing staff<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • College of Nursing – one day conference for registered nurses<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Cooma Health Service – Cooma Hospital
    \nRefurbish – Cancer Care Coordinators room “B” Level
    \nRefurbish – Room 7 on “A” Level – Palliative Care Room
    \nRefurbish – Women’s Health Room at Community Health
    \nRefurbish – “Matrons Flat” in the old nurses quarters for use by patients, patients families and visiting medical staff. This was done in conjunction with the Cooma Lions Club

  • Look Good Feel Better Workshops<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Oncology Unit – ongoing costs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Oxygen system – portable – for palliative care nursing staff<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Pit Stop – Men’s Health Program – Dalgety, Delegate, Bombala & Cooma Shows<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support nurses in attending conferences<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support nurses working in the Oncology Unit with further education<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Travel for breast care consultant<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Purchase of a navigator probe to allow sentinel node biopsy procedure which is in accordance with best practice for breast cancer surgery ensuring the best possible health outcomes for rural patients.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support of Cooma Prostate Support Group<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Purchase of an AccuVein for the Cooma Oncology Unit<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Purchase of 2 additional treatment charis for the Cooma Oncology Unit<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ongoing funding of the MCCR Financial Assistance Scheme<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Hysteroscope and sheath to assist in the diagnosis of intra-uterine abnormalities for the Cooma Hospital
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Purchase of shelving for the Cooma Oncology Unit<\/span><\/li>\n
  • $3000 to assist the Cooma Get Healthy Town Challenge. We felt this was a worthy cause as prevention is better than cure.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • $50,000 to Department of Medical Oncology,Canberra Hospital for cancer research<\/span><\/li>\n
  • $5000 to the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation for research into childhood cancer<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Flowtron Hydroven Therapy System for Cooma Community Health to aid in the recovery of lymphatic and venous or mixed arterial and venous problems.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Sofa bed chair for Bombala Hospital palliative care ward<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
